WTF

I know you are probably receiving a large number of videos from the G20 protest, but I wanted to submit this one not simply to show what is happening in Pittsburgh.

First off, after watching this I thought of BoingBoing and BoingBoing alone. I value the social commentary your site provides and want to get the word out about this. I am like most other Americans in my generation. I dislike the direction our country has been headed and saw hope with Obama. Thankfully I had the option to move to Sweden and watch the changes in America from a distance and with a certain detachment. Nothing that has happened in the last year has struck me as deeply as this video.

Is this really what our country has become? I am trying to avoid all of the obvious comparisons between this and 1984, totalitarianism, facism, etc, but it is difficult. Watching students, not protesters or activists, but college students be targeted by fully armored riot police is something that I have seen before, but never to this degree. How can a country claim to be the leader of the free world when they treat their youth with such disregard?

Please post this video and get the word out that this is an unacceptable action by an unacceptable government. After watching this I am once again ashamed to call myself an american.
